Privacy Policy

The Company has created these policies based on its Code of Ethics for handling of the personal information belonging to guests and employees that is necessary for operating the business. It has established a personal information management system and is dedicated to carrying out responsible action as a business entity.

  1. Policy 1: The purposes of personal information use shall be identified to the maximum extent possible, and personal information shall be handled appropriately within the range necessary to achieve these purposes. Measures shall be enacted to prevent the use of personal information for other purposes.
  2. Policy 2: Personal information shall be collected by appropriate methods.
  3. Policy 3: Personal information shall not be provided to any third party without the consent of the individual concerned.
  4. Policy 4: When handling personal information, the Company shall endeavor to take necessary and appropriate steps for preventing information leakage, loss, or damage, and for other safe information management.

  7. Policy 7: The Company shall establish a contact for complaints or consultations related to personal information protection, and shall endeavor to handle such matters appropriately.

The Company shall respect the privacy of all persons who use the facility (hereafter referred to as “Users”), and shall exercise stringent care in management when handling User personal information (defined below).

Definition of Personal Information

Personal information refers to information concerning an individual User that can be used to identify that User by means of the name, address, telephone number, email address, or other contents of that information. Even when such information cannot on its own be used to identify the User, information which can be easily compared with other information and thereby identify the User is also included in personal information.

Purposes of Personal Information Use

The purposes of use for personal information on this website are the following. The Company shall not use personal information beyond the range of these purposes without the consent of the individual concerned.

  1. Authenticating the identity of registered members of this website and providing various services to members
  2. Carrying out operations that are ancillary or related to the reservation service provided via the Internet or telephone
  3. Providing User and reservation information to the Company based on the reservation requests received from Users in (2) above
  4. Sending information including email services and various notifications to those Users who have separately given their consent to such sending

Based on the personal information provided to the Company, the Company may create statistical data which has been processed to prevent the identification of individuals. The Company shall be permitted to use without restriction any statistical data which cannot be used to identify individuals.

Voluntary Nature of Personal Information Provision

The personal information items which are necessary for each of the services provided on this website are labeled as “Required” on the input screens. If a User does not input these items, he or she may be unable to make reservations with the Company or be unable to receive various other services.

Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

The Company shall as a rule not provide personal information to third parties without the consent of the individual concerned. Such provision shall occur only when the party receiving the information and the contents of the provided information were identified and then the consent of the individual concerned was obtained. However personal information may be provided without the consent of the individual in the following circumstances within a range that does not violate related laws.

  1. It was concluded that the User will cause harm to the interests of a third party.
  2. Such provision is necessary for improving public health or promoting the healthy raising of children, and obtaining the consent of the individual User is difficult.
  3. Cooperation is necessary when a national agency, local government body, or party contracted by the above carries out work prescribed by law, and obtaining the consent of the individual User may impair the carrying out of such work.
  4. A request for disclosure of personal information was received from a court, public prosecutor’s office, the police, or another agency that has equivalent authority.
  5. The individual User explicitly requested disclosure or provision to a third party.
  6. The disclosure or provision is permitted based on laws.
  7. Personal information is provided due to business succession occurring as a result of merger or another reason, and the personal information is handled within the same range of purposes as before the succession.

Scope of Third Parties

In the following cases, the party receiving provision of personal information shall not be considered a third party.

  1. The Company has contracted some or all of the handling of personal information within the range necessary to achieve the purposes of use. (The Company shall bear responsibility for the handling of personal information by the contractor.)
  2. Personal information is provided due to business succession occurring as a result of merger or another reason.

Outside Contracting of Personal Information Processing

The Company may contract some or all of the operations for handling of personal information to an outside contractor. The Company shall bear responsibility for the handling of personal information by the contractor.

Changes Etc. to Personal Information

In general, requests to disclose, revise, or discontinue the use of personal information are permitted only by the individual concerned. When the User is a registered member on this website, the User may view, change, and delete personal information at any time via the Internet. Requests from other Users are handled by the contact office. However the Company may not accede to requests for disclosure in cases when there is the risk of harm to the life, health, property, or other rights and interests of the individual User or a third party, cases when there is the risk of substantial interference with the appropriate conduct of service operations on this website, and cases which violate other laws. In the event that discontinuing the use of personal information or discontinuing the provision of personal information to third parties (hereafter referred to as “Discontinuing Use Etc.”) would require large expenses or the Discontinuing Use Etc. is difficult for another reason, and alternative necessary measures are taken to protect the rights and interests of the User, the Company may not accede to a request for Discontinuing Use Etc.

Accuracy of Personal Information

This website shall endeavor to accurately perform data processing of provided personal information, however the User bears responsibility for the accuracy and up-to-date nature of the personal information which he or she provided.

Restrictions on Collection of Special Care-required Personal Information

In general, this website shall not collect personal information which includes the following contents. However this may not apply in the event that the information was provided personally by the User.

  1. Information related to personal thinking, beliefs, or religion
  2. Race, ethnicity, lineage, domicile of origin (except for information about the prefecture where the individual resides), physical or mental disability, criminal record, or other information which may result in social discrimination
  3. Information related to the right of workers to organize, collective bargaining, or other group actions
  4. Information related to the exercise of political rights such as participation in mass demonstrations or exercising the right to petition
  5. Medical treatment or sexuality

Personal Information Management

The Company shall endeavor to enact appropriate security measures to prevent the loss, misuse, or alteration of personal information which is under its management. Personal information shall be stored in a safe environment that cannot be accessed by ordinary Users.

Identity Authentication

In cases such as when the Company responds to a request for personal information disclosure, revision, delete, or discontinuation of use, we will confirm the individual’s identity by means of information which can identify the individual (such as name, address, telephone number, date of birth, email address, or member number). However the Company shall bear no responsibility in the event that a person other than the individual concerned obtained and used information which can be used to identify the individual.

Based on the personal information provided to the Company, the Company may create statistical data which has been processed to prevent the identification of individuals. The Company shall be permitted to use without restriction any statistical data which cannot be used to identify individuals.
